The Business Administration Curriculum is designed to introduce students to the various aspects of the free enterprise system. Students will be provided with a fundamental knowledge of business functions, processes, and an understanding of business organizations in today鈥檚 global economy.

Business administration graduates qualify for private, public, and nonprofit management and administrative roles. Many find employment as management trainees or managers in the sales or retail industry. Others work as project assistants, office managers, and technology-oriented support specialists.

This two-semester program under the title of Business Administration teaches principles of banking, money and banking, fundamentals of banking, survey of real estate and practices in the areas of accounting and spreadsheets. Graduates qualify for entry-level jobs in banking and finance, insurance, brokerage and mortgage companies, and governmental lending agencies.
Special Program Requirements: Students must have credit for ENG 002 Transition English, MAT 003 Transition Math, and ACA 090 Student Success Strategies.

This two-semester program teaches students the business fundamentals and essential skills needed to succeed in opening a small business. This certificate pairs well with massage therapy, cosmetology, landscape gardening, and culinary arts. Courses in this certificate program correspond with the A.A.S. degree program.
According to the U.S. Small Business Administration Office of Advocacy (2017), it is estimated that there are over 57.9 million people employed in small businesses in the United States. They employ just over 47% of the country's private sector workforce. The top three small business industries are healthcare and social assistance, food services, and retail trade.
